The Sr Director, Product Strategy and Portfolio Strategyis a key member of the Product and Portfolio Strategy Team. The position will contribute to the long-term success of Tumor Treating Fields therapy through the oversight of product innovation launches and portfolio strategy. The position will drive the development of portfolio strategies to assure successful market introduction and long-term product performance of new indications for Tumor Treating Fields therapy. This role is also responsible for oversight of new product developments (hardware and consumables). This is a full-time, exempt position based in the United States reporting to the SVP, Product & Portfolio Strategy. Ideal candidates will be located in either Portsmouth, NH or Chesterbrook, PA (near our main office buildings) for a hyrbid work environment but we will consider remote candidates as well. Candidates located in Switzerland will be considered as well. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee strategic company-wide program management
- Provide strategic direction to Program Development Teams and Product Management on the prioritization of the technology roadmap for new product innovations Lead the development and execution of product/indication strategy and ensure prioritization of internal and external growth opportunities in line with each disease-area-strategy
- Drive a culture of innovation and excellence within the organization, encouraging creativity, risk-taking, and continuous improvement. Translate key Insights from scientific experts (internal R&D colleagues + external opinion leaders) into clear, actionable strategies for the organization
- Communicate with senior leadership to ensure alignment on strategies, budgets, and preparation of material for executive level presentations, including project prioritization, resource allocation, and lifecycle management.
- Responsible for management of execution against agreed upon goals and project milestones. Track program progress against the plan, work with PDT members/department heads to identify and resolve resource constraints consistent with corporate priorities.
- Translate key Insights from scientific experts (internal R&D colleagues + external opinion leaders) into clear, actionable strategies for the product/disease Manage governance process and drive preparation by teams, with attention to clear and succinct presentation of recommended and alternative plans, and thorough evaluation of opportunities and risks
- Lead the development and execution of product/indication strategy and ensure prioritization of internal and external growth opportunities in line with each disease-area-strategy
- Lead development of target product profiles/claims, and integrated development plans based on thorough understanding of regulatory pathways, clinical benefit, market opportunity, reimbursement, competitive and market dynamics and potential future trends
- Manage governance process and drive preparation by teams, with attention to clear and succinct presentation of recommended and alternative plans, and thorough evaluation of opportunities and risks
- Drive accelerated development of pathways from early development through registration, leading cross-functional evaluation of different scenarios and risks/benefits to develop team recommendation
- Lead development of the market release sequencing strategy for each new product innovation
- Communicate with senior leadership to ensure alignment on strategies, budgets, and preparation of material for executive level presentations, including project prioritization
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required, MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years cross-functional project management/program leadership experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment; Oncology experience required
- Independent, motivated team leader who can thrive in a matrix environment, support multiple asset teams, and ensure aligned execution across the portfolio.
- Previous experience in a clinical and commercial assessment role, that required comprehensive understanding of oncology markets from multiple customer perspectives (e.g., HCP, Payers, Patients) and/or different business perspectives (e.g., clinical, R&D, marketing) is required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams; demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong scientific background and ability to engage credibly with internal and external stakeholders around scientific topics
- Experience working within a highly matrixed global environment
- Demonstrated ability to shape and deliver business cases

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Wiliness to travel 30% of the time (domestically and internationally), including occasional weekend travel to congresses and internal meetings
