Nurse Practitioner-PT Days-CINJ Medical Oncology Hematolo-New Brunswick-NJ

Job Overview:

You will provide quality care in the outpatient setting for cancer patients and their families,

You will provide collaborative physician-based care with appropriate levels of autonomy,

A focus on high quality and safety in critical to supporting this high-risk patient population and delivering beyond standard of care to their patients and families,

This position is focused in the outpatient area.Oncology experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

• Master s degree in Nursing required, Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license; CDS and DEA,
• APSHO Cancer Therapy Prescribing Course Certificate OR AOCNP Certification required to prescribe chemotherapy/biotherapy
• BLS and ACLS certified,

• Part Time
• Days
• 20 hours ( 2*10)

Essential Functions:

• Performs comprehensive initial and episodic health assessments in order to identify existing or potential health problems,
• Initiates and implements individualized nursing and medical plan of care in collaboration with members of multidisciplinary team
• Initiates appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic, medical and nursing actions in conjunction with physicians
• Provides follow up care including, acute and routine examinations
• Assesses progress, identify problems, initiate preventive measures, recognizes emergent problems and initiates proper care in collaboration with physicians
• Monitors and adjusts patients medication according to protocol or medical plan of care including adequate pain control.
