Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN

Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will play a critical role in the Baptist Health Information Security team. This position will serve as a principal engineering and reporting expert for the organization's vulnerability management solution. This position will include a significant amount of collaboration with IT teams to provide security oversight, guidance, and the creation of security baseline standards. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will also play a key role in high level security operations functions such as the creation and execution of cyber incident and emergency response processes and vulnerability management resolution. A person in this position is expected to have an expert level of knowledge of key cyber security domains as well as a moderate understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to the healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related area of study preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in vulnerability management or a related role.

  • Strong knowledge of vulnerability management tools and technologies (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7).

  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.

  • Experience with cloud security and vulnerability management in cloud environments.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.

  • Understanding of network security principles and practices.

  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills.
