Position Description

We are in search of a Senior Associate to become a key member of our Fee Strategy team. In this pivotal position, you will play an essential role in helping PIMCO maintain our competitive edge by developing and executing effective pricing models aligned with our product and market strategies. Working in close partnership with the Product Strategy and Account Management teams, you will evaluate, develop, and adjust pricing proposals for a range of investment products to fulfill client requirements and advance PIMCO's strategic objectives. This opportunity allows you to leverage your deep knowledge of investment management fees, pricing models, and regulatory standards to strengthen PIMCO's pricing framework, maintaining both competitiveness and compliance in our fee policies.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective fee policies, ensuring alignment with PIMCO's strategic goals.

  • Engage in benchmarking exercises with Fee Strategists to assess fee competitiveness and compliance, contributing to strategic projects that evaluate revenue impacts and offer actionable recommendations.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, valuing diverse perspectives to achieve collective objectives.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes that influence fee structures, and meticulously record and analyze fee requests and outcomes.

  • Work closely with Fee Strategists to tackle complex pricing challenges through analytical methods, gaining a deep understanding of PIMCO's investment strategies and market positioning.

  • Support the creation of internal presentations and enhance pricing capabilities by leading process improvements and technology-driven projects.

  • Participate in data collection and analysis for pricing experiments, providing insights that guide pricing strategies and decisions.

Position Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline is required. Possession of a CFA designation or current enrollment in the CFA program is preferred.

  • Minimum five years' relevant experience in financial services, asset management industry, or management consulting, preferably focused on product pricing and/or fee strategy).

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills are essential, with proficiency in statistical modeling and the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Exceptional communication abilities to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with a proven history of data-driven decision-making.

  • Knowledge of PIMCO-specific applications (CM Portal, PAM, Perform) is advantageous for internal candidates.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 94,000.00 - $ 101,000.00
