Job Description
  • Part-time, temporary position. Up to 20 hours per week
  • Responsible for supporting day-to-day work activity of Trainees
  • Performs general physical outdoor activities, including prepare supplies and equipment inventories
  • Tracks each Trainees attendance, evaluates performance, and records Trainee progress
  • Performs general inspection of equipment and vehicles before use
  • Responsible supportingthe safety of Trainees on the project
  • Ensures that each Trainee/crew member wears all of the necessary safety gear
  • Completes project in compliance with standards and job specifications
  • Participates in meetings with team and partners to promote full, frequent communication
  • Ensures that each Trainee has adequate supplies needed for the project and proper tools to perform their job duties
  • Participates in staff trainings
  • Participates in development and maintenance of standard operating procedures
  • Works in a professional and courteous manner and ability to work harmoniously with other employees, partners, Trainees, and the general public
  • Conducts regular ongoing individual meetings with participants for job readiness, job search,and/oreducation.
  • Support participants in achieving self-sufficiency by monitoring progress throughout the program cycle
  • Prepares, organizes, and maintains accurate, updated information in both electronic and paper forms
  • Facilitates customer access to training, education, and to employment services, as well as job-specific information; provide case management to customers at the appropriate level.
  • Outreach to the community to talk about benefits of program
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months experience in a supervisory or lead position
  • One or more years' experience in a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Regular attendance and punctuality is a requirement of this position
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel between operation sites
  • Capable of obtaining OSHA 10within first 30days of employment
  • Capable of walking and standing.
  • Capable of being out in nature most of the day.
