Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Program Manager to support the Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/HNJ), which focuses on leading edge, advanced technology solutions for the warfighter's needs in areas such as electronic and cyber warfare. AFLCMC/HNJ is organized into 4 branches and the Hanscom Collaboration and Innovation Center (HCIC).

This position provides senior level program management support to programs within an supporting the Special Programs Division.

LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA

JOB STATUS: Full time; salaried

TRAVEL: CONUS travel less than 10%

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret

JOB RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Support the Program Manager (PM)/Materiel Lead (ML) with contract activities, including identifying, capturing and tracking requirements and assessing what is within schedule and cost baselines, recommend viable solutions to problems, and pursue alternative courses of action
  • Support Integrated Product Team(s) (IPT) leadership with senior level acquisition and program management advice and counsel
  • Support the development and review of draft Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, collaborate with a diverse group of functions to review proposals
  • Support technical evaluations and fact-finding efforts and subsequently, assist program lead on contract management
  • Perform program execution duties that include development and update of PEO weekly activity reports, corps reports, production corps program status reports
  • Develop, review, and submit division and program office staff briefing charts
  • Develop, review, update program status briefings for the PM for PEO level meetings
  • Develop, maintain program reporting and management of program critical events utilizing Lifecycle Management Process IDE, SharePoint, enterprise tracking tools
  • Monitor, manage, and respond to USAF command, directorate, division and program taskers
  • Provide quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.)
  • Support program management reviews, meeting reviews and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS) reviews, and integrate inputs for the monthly Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) assessments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience (5 years DoD),
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and AFI 63-101/20-101
  • Knowledge of the roles and relationships within the DoD and Air Force acquisition stakeholder community and acquisition organizations
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
