Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Equipment Management Support - Kinetic Kill Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (KHILS) for the Tenants Contract, supporting the Air Force Division at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate, Science and Technology Seekers Branch (AFRL/RWTSH).

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years' experience
  • Current Secret Clearance (US citizenship required)
  • Working knowledge of current Air Force Logistic Instructions and Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work with diverse group of people, handling multiple projects at once, with attention-to-detail.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Prior Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate experience
  • Experience with Munitions and/or Weapons Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise and assist maintaining a database of all test equipment requiring calibration and prepare, ship or deliver, and track all items requiring calibration; maintaining accountability of equipment and property in compliance with current AF guidance, Government accountability procedures and systems such as ADPE and Equipment Authorization Inventory Data/Document, in facilitating the return and/or reallocation of test hardware and equipment at the end of test projects.
  • Maintain, improve and assist in the execution the equipment maintenance program for RWTS on all test and support equipment requiring AFTO IMT 244, Industrial/Support Equipment Record, IAW AFI 21-101 Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance Management, and T.O. 00-20-1 Aerospace Equipment Maintenance General Policy and Procedures.
  • Advise and assist with obtaining quotes, recommending warranties and recommending financial vehicles for procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies; in the procurement of new equipment and supplies and shall help maintain acquisition records as required in RWITS; in maintaining the maintenance status of assigned equipment and vehicles IAW Equipment Maintenance Program procedures; and in maintaining accountability records of Government and non-Government owned property, hardware, and test equipment associated with the various projects, tests, and experiments.
  • Be familiar with AFWAY in order to obtain purchasing information, approvals, and place orders for IT hardware; help with the Project, Workflow, Requirements and Resource Manager software approval process, to obtain certification and approval for the purchase of computer software; and in the identification, preparation and processing of required documentation, and transportation of surplus assets to the DLADS.
