Job Description

The School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity: we are seeking a Senior Student Support Specialist to join our team in the Pulmonary/Critical Care division. The successful candidate will take on the role of Fellowship Coordinator, managing key responsibilities and processes related to the fellowship program within the Department of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate closely with the Fellowship Program Director and other administrative staff within the division to ensure smooth operations.
* Work alongside coordinators and supervisors to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
* Develop and maintain productive relationships with Graduate Medical Education, other divisions, and departments, ensuring adherence to ACGME policies and guidelines.
* Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment by partnering with peers and maintaining open communication channels within the department.

* Solution-oriented, thinking creatively and outside the box to address challenges, even if untried solutions are required.
* Skilled in conflict resolution and comfortable finding answers in uncertain situations.
* Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and manage unexpected issues.
* Professional in interactions with co-workers, faculty, and fellows, maintaining a positive and respectful working environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Core Duties:

* Coordinate fellowship onboarding and manage the recruitment season.
* Help organize and build the division, ensuring it continues to grow and thrive.
* Oversee the monthly call schedules and maintain comprehensive fellow files, tracking all aspects of their training.
* Be a strong communicator, open to change and able to adjust quickly to evolving needs.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $18.50 - $26.30
Grade: GGS-008
