Your Role With Us:A Protection Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the organization, primarily focusing on weapon detection and enforcement. This involves operating advanced weapon detection systems to prevent unauthorized access and ensuring adherence to the organization's strict weapon-free policy. The officer also coordinates with local law enforcement when necessary to enhance security measures. Additionally, the officer is responsible for meticulous incident reporting and data entry, maintaining accurate logs and generating clear reports of any incidents or activities during their shifts. Effective communication is key; the officer utilizes portable radios and phones to relay important information promptly. By observing and reporting on safety and security concerns, the officer supports field officers and management in upholding a secure environment. Experience in healthcare security and customer service is highly desirable.High School Diploma or equivalent is non-essential but PREFERRED.MUST possess a current and valid Oregon driver's license with a good driving record.DPSST unarmed certification preferred or obtained within one (1) month of hire.SAVE certification obtained within three (3) months of hire.NIMS HICS 100, 200, and 700 online certificates obtained within one (1) year of hire.Dept Public Safety Standards & Training - Grace Period: 1 Month.Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is an equal opportunity employer.
