40 Hours/Week

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Remote, onsite required per business needs

Summary:

The Project Manager leads multiple projects with complex objectives and activities.

Responsibilities:

1. Leads multiple projects with complex objectives and activities.

2. Assists with contract negotiation and compliance.

3. Leads estimation of budget or effort if required, and works with other leaders to collect and incorporate their budget or effort estimates

4. Determines resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project specifications.

5. Plans and scopes all project phases and components ensuring projects are on schedule and within scope.

6. Works with project teams to define testing plans and to help organize testing phases and cycles if testing is required.

7. Creates contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members and sponsors and implements a revised project schedule, scope or budget in a timely manner.

8. Monitors assigned projects and provides summary status reports to management

9. Develops and maintains an excellent working knowledge of Akron Children's Hospital IS and IS interoperability issues and opportunities.

10. Other duties as required.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

1. Experience in project management methodology and tools is required.

2. Experience managing large and/or multiple projects is required.

3. Experience assisting in or leading contract negotiations is required.

4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.

5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.

6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Project management software is required.

Education and Experience

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.

2. Certification: PMP certification is required.

3. Years of relevant experience: 5 to 7 years is preferred.

4. Years of experience supervising: None.
