Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of Molalla, OR. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, The Maintenance Technician's primary focus will be to maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

What you'll do:

Troubleshooting and Repair

o Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
o Test, locate, and repair issues in electrical circuits and equipment.
o Perform electronic equipment repair and troubleshooting.
o Repair and replace broken or defective parts, including electrical motors, parts, wiring, and other electrical devices.
o Troubleshoot the cause of downed equipment and return it to service urgently, prioritizing safety.

Preventive Maintenance

o Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on various production machines and equipment.
o Reduce and control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance requirements.

Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance

o Repair and maintain existing electrical installations in operational plants and commercial buildings.
o Use knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and electronic equipment.
o Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools.
o Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment.

Inspections and Compliance

o Perform inspections of buildings and equipment as required by regulatory agencies.
o Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

General Maintenance

o Perform general maintenance on buildings and grounds.

Operational Efficiency

o Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
o Maintain awareness and willingness to maximize machine throughput while adhering to safety protocols.

Flexibility and Availability

o Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and resources.
o Willingness to work weekends or be on-call if needed.

Team Collaboration and Communication

o Work within a team environment with minimal supervision.
o Assist in the design and implementation of equipment improvements.
o Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
o Monitor stock levels of supplies and spare parts.

What you'll bring:

Education

o Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

o Experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Skills

o Strong mechanical and electrical skill sets.
o Adaptable to changes in the work environment.
o Comfortable with multiple competing demands.
o Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
o Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

o Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
