Librarian

Location: Middleton HOC, Middleton, MA

Pay Rate: $28.55/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 AM - 4 PM

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in library science, information studies, education or closely related field required.
• Knowledge of library citation standards, image capture, article identification, and citation and metadata creation
• Familiarity with various source material including monographs, serial volumes and issues, microform, prints and photographs, manuscript items, and various audiovisuals.
• Familiarity with legal case law research a plus.
• Experience with justice involved population a plus.

The Librarian:

• is responsible for organizing, managing, and providing access to information resources in a library setting.
• is responsible for selecting and acquiring books, journals, databases, and other materials for the library's collection, as well as cataloging and classifying them for easy retrieval by library users.
• assists library patrons in locating information resources and provide guidance on how to use them effectively. They may develop and deliver programs and services that meet the needs of the population, such as book clubs or cultural events.
