About The Role

The accounting assistant is responsible for providing support to the Accounting and finance team.

What You Will Do

  • Research and process invoices related to operating expenses within 48 Hrs.

  • Reviews all payable invoices for proper amounts and coding.

  • Responsible for Vendor Set up.

  • Responsible for following up on past due invoices from recurring Vendors.

  • Responsible for AR collections for office and retail tenants.

  • Responsible for reconciliations, when needed to resolve aged credits and debits.

  • Responsible for distribution of monthly statements to the tenants.

  • Research short paid invoices, process noncash and resolve tenant inquiries timely.

  • Reviews monthly billings and processes manual adjustments.

  • Serve as receptionist backup when needed.

  • Other Duties as assigned.

About You

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Some experience supporting an accounting department.

  • Able to effectively support multiple people and priorities.

  • Professional interaction with clients, contractors and vendors.

  • Build positive working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization.

  • Exercise sound judgment when making decisions.

  • Able to meet deadlines as necessary.

  • Effectively work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong Organization and Attention to Detail skills.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills both verbal and written.

  • Good problem solver/creative thinker.

  • "Can-do" attitude, pro-active and resourceful.

  • A team player who has the ability to multi-task and is self-directed.

  • Office based position.

  • Highly proficient in JDE and current MS office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
