Position Summary The Accounts Payable Manager will assist with the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the accounting department in a growing company. Will be strategic, proactive, resourceful, and be able to build strong relationships within the department and cross-functionally. Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide leadership to the accounts payable function and manage the day-to-day operation
  • Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, including management of the monthly close calendar deadlines
  • Familiar with a variety of the Accounting and Audit concepts, practices, and procedures: GAAP
  • Manage the design and administration of accounts payable policy and procedure within the organization
  • Evaluate and makes appropriate improvements to accounting policies and internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
  • Support and manage the execution of external audits
  • Leverage extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, external auditors
  • Comply with special project analyses and ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Lead, mentor and develop current Account Payables staff
Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accounts payable experience. 3 years of experience with managing a team within accounts payable. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong system skills including experience with a large ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or SAP including set up and creating reports. Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will directly manage a team within accounts payable. Develop and execute the company's business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders. Provide strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the market and the company's future. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities. Able to delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Pay is determined by various factors including market demand, applicable skills, work experience and education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.

Compensation: $89,850.00 - $119,800.00

Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
