Location: Remote

Employment Class: Full Time Regular

FLSA Classification: Exempt - Salaried

Salary Range: $140K-$190K DOE annually

Position Summary:

Command Cyber Solutions (CCS), a federal government contractor, is seeking a qualified Senior Integration Engineer - Testing who will support the 2026 Census Test Technical Integration Program.

The Mission:

* The Decennial Census plays a critical role in our nation's governance, informing congressional representation and guiding the allocation of $1.5 trillion in federal funding each year. In preparation for 2030, CCS is seeking highly skilled and motivated Integration Specialists to join the 2026 Census Test IT (26CT) Integration program.
* The Decennial requires innovative, scalable IT solutions to support the count of every person living in the United States and its territories. Decennial systems must scale to process millions of daily responses, support the largest non-military workforce mobilization in the world (350k+ workers), and maintain the highest standards of data security and individual privacy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The 26CT Integration program involves critical preparatory work for the 2030 Decennial Census. The purpose of the 2026 Census Test (26CT) contract is to ensure that all elements of technology architecture supporting the 2026 Test Integration meet the requirements of Field operations and secure data collection, transport and storage (See more about the Census 2026 Integration test here).

You will be responsible for setting up instrumentation that captures system characteristics as technical teams integrate incremental innovations into the existing Census environment. As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and executing complex tests to monitor and validate key services and critical systems.

* * Testing mobile device solutions, field IT infrastructure, and identity management systems to support nationwide data collection

* * Developing and implementing an integrated operations center and help desk system to manage and monitor census operations in real time

* * Conducting comprehensive gap analysis and risk assessments to ensure all systems meet operational requirements

* * Planning and executing rigorous testing to validate solution interoperability, scalability, and performance under realistic operational conditions

* *Collaborating closely with Census Bureau teams and stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational needs

* * Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation and solution architecture design recommendations and providing actionable insights to inform planning for the 2030 Census

* * Reporting test results to senior leadership and other stakeholders

Education, Experience & Certification Requirements:

* BA/BS with five (5)+ years experience building Testing programs for large-scale, preferably geographically distributed technical systems.

* US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, which involves a background investigation to determine suitability for access to sensitive data

* Ability to use creative problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels

* Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum

* Experience working in a government or public sector environment is a plus

* Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field desired

* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Cisco, PMP) are a plus

* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively

* Passion for public service and a commitment to the mission of the Census Bureau

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Ex pertise in developing comprehensive test strategies covering functional, performance, and security testing

* * Proficient in tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Apache Benchmark, Prometheus and Gatling for designing and executing large-scale performance tests

* * Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, and Cucumber for efficient regression testing

* * Knowledge of chaos engineering principles using tools like Chaos Monkey

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

* Basic office work environment at government facility location
* Hours of operation are M-F during core business hours.
* Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days
* Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer
