YOUR DAY TO DAY:

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer 1 to join our team. This position is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in quality assurance and engineering. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes, supporting departments like Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering with their quality initiatives.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:



  • Quality Assurance: Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Inspection and Testing: Develop methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes, equipment, and finished products.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend updates to quality standards.
  • Documentation Review: Review documents, drawings, and instructions for conformance to requirements.
  • Defect Management: Compare defects against standards, recommend actions, and verify rework.
  • Metrics and Audits: Collect, organize, and analyze project data to generate reports and conduct audits, assigning corrective actions and verifying implementation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all processes and products meet defined requirements and witness or monitor test activities.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Quality personnel to provide guidance and ensure compliance.
  • Support Inspections: Assist Quality Inspectors in ensuring products and processes meet quality management system and customer requirements.



YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:




  • Basic Knowledge: Familiar with engineering methodologies, tools, and standards (software, electrical, systems, etc.).
  • Inspection Tools: Knowledge of relevant inspection and measurement tools and techniques.
  • Quality Standards: Familiar with ISO certifications, design verification, process validation, product design control, CAPA, FMEA, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Basic understanding of interpreting technical drawings and conformance requirements.
  • Communication: Ability to report quality activities both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent in MS Office applications.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).


    Physical Requirements:



    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds or more for product measurement.
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a computer.
    • Travel to supplier sites as necessary to collaborate and ensure quality.
