Web Optimization Intern - on site

Boston, MA

By running A/B testing, and web optimization, this strategic role seeks to always be improving web outcomes to support our marketing initiatives and, most importantly, our users' experiences. Using dedicated web optimization best practices through the Growth-Driven Design methodology, the Web Optimization Intern will assess the performance of key KPIs on our landing pages, and hypothesize, implement, and test solutions to remove user friction and improve the web experience.

PTC.com is a highly interactive website serving several unique business units for the company, so an understanding of web data and analysis is critical to assess what's performing well, what's not working, and what steps we should take to attempt to improve performance. Our current search visibility score is 3X that of our competitors-join us in our mission to make the website even more customer-centric, personalized, and optimized for conversion!

This isan excitingrole, as you will be working on one of the most interactive websites in the Industrial space. Considering that ~70% of the buyer's journey happens in the digital space, this is a strategically critical role for PTC.

This role sits in the Digital Experience Marketing organization and works closely with the UX/UI designers as well as our Technical SEO and Strategy teams. It is a complex website, but well-funded and witha knowledgeable, talented team.

Day-To-Day:

  • Assess performance of key landing page KPIs to find areas of opportunity or reproduction at scale
  • Develop strategy and execution of A/B tests to improve experienceswith VWO
  • Run strategic user testing on new designs and experiences to gather qualitative insights
  • Report on web performance, updates, improvements, and areas of opportunity
  • Evaluate heat mapping performance with Mouseflow
  • Identify, evaluate, and propose digital experience improvements based on successful performance KPIs
  • Perform root-cause analysis on dead-end experiences or areas of user friction
  • Regularly communicate with digital marketing leadership and web strategy teams to discuss direction, strategy, and priority

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with data analysis and KPI assessment
  • Creative thinker willing to testextensive ideasand apply learnings to future activities
  • Some knowledge of web best practices
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • An understanding of website/user data,SEO optimization, andanalytics capabilities
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and strategy conversationsregarding the web

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 1+ years' experience in marketing analysis
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in web strategy, UX/UI, and user research in a corporate environment
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in marketing

Basic Qualifications:

  • Reporting and analysis skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Analytics 4
  • Experience with or interest in heatmapping tools and data
  • Some understanding of user experience best practices
