The Professional Research Assistant (PRA) will work within the Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The PRA will coordinate activities required to perform clinical protocols, recruit for clinical studies, schedule study participant clinic visits, accurately record and enter data, respond to data queries from study sponsors, and support physician investigators by taking on other duties as assigned. Our providers are nationally recognized experts in treating pediatric and adolescent pelvic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding and bleeding disorders, and congenital anomalies of the female reproductive tract. We provide sexual and reproductive healthcare to a wide spectrum of patients, specializing in the care of patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. Our patients have unique needs, and this position offers candidates the opportunity to have a real, demonstrable impact on young patients' lives. Our team's PRA will gain skills and experience in clinical research and will receive mentorship that will help to advance their career in healthcare and research. The PRA will gain valuable hands-on research experience through supporting projects employing a variety of research methods and exploring diverse topics withing the field of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. This position requires enthusiasm for clinical research and the care of pediatric and adolescent patients with gynecologic needs. The ideal candidate will be gifted and derive energy from galvanizing people and executing projects (tenacity). Ideal candidates will also find joy in getting things done, achieving results, and completing tasks and projects. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management (90%)
- Recruit, screen, and consent research subjects at Children's Hospital Colorado and satellite clinics
- Accurate data collection and data entry
- Issue study subject payments (SSPs) and maintain recordkeeping of SSPs
- Schedule research visits (visits may be in-person, or remote)
- Assist with IRB submissions
- Assist with the management of study expenses and budgets
- Assist with maintenance of research folders
- Maintain study regulatory binders
- Collaborate and coordinate with other research personnel and groups on a variety of studies
- Collect, process, and ship biological specimens
Education and HR (5%)
- Maintenance of study specific certifications, COMIRB training, computer training and other hospital required training
Administrative Duties (5%)
- Other duties and projects as assigned

Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1-2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
- One (1) year clinical research or related experience
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year prior clinical research experience
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and teens in a professional environment
- 1+ year prior experience with IRB submissions
- 1+ year prior experience with budget management
- 1+ year prior experience working on an interdisciplinary team
- Familiarity with scientific literature and reviewing scientific articles

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $51,956-$66,088. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
