JOB TYPE Classification: Exempt Supervises Positions: No JOB SUMMARY The role of the Chaplain exists to enhance the quality of life of team members, patients and their caregivers through the provision of services with meet their unique spiritual, emotional and social needs. Communication: Communicates effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority.
Quality: Reviews processes, identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
Patient Service: Actively participates in identifying areas of opportunity to improve the experience for patients and guests.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate Degree required - Master's of Divinity or graduate theological degree ordination or equivalent and endorsement by denominations or faith groups endorsing body. Completion of four units of CPE from a nationally accredited body preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years pastoral care experience in a healthcare setting required. Experience in roles requiring communication across disciplines preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: Eligible for certification by APC or CPSP preferred. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
