DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Work with Nintendo's digital teams to conduct user experience and research to gain a deep understanding of consumer experience and engagement on digital strategies
- Conduct usability research to understand our audience and their needs
- Review existing data on user behavior and create detailed user journey maps
- Identify key user journey stages, touchpoints, emotions, and potential friction points
- Highlight moments of delight and opportunities where the Nintendo digital experience can be enhanced
- Provide recommendations for each journey stage to optimize user interactions and satisfaction
- Provide user experience design and testing expertise to enhance user interaction through look, feel, and process flow
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- 3.0+ GPA
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a graduation conferral date between May 2025 and June 2026
- Pursuing a degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), UI Design, Digital Media, Interaction Design, Psychology, or related field
- Knowledge of design principles and user-centered design processes, capable of creating detailed user journey maps and visualizing user interactions
- Strong communication abilities to present findings to team members and collaborate cross-functionally with designers, developers, stakeholders, etc
- Familiar with identifying problems within user journeys and developing creative solutions to enhance the user experience
- Familiar with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and/or similar tools
- Familiar with running a usability study or experience with platforms such as UserTesting.com that enable gathering user feedback
- Familiar with basic web technologies
- Provide a portfolio of your work
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship between June - September
This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. Housing and travel support will be provided for non-local hires.
This internship includes a base pay range of $25 per hour, paid sick and safe time, and perks such as a local transit pass and access to the onsite fitness center. Given the limited duration of the role, interns are not eligible for full-time employee benefits such as healthcare or 401(k).
