INTERN - IT Security

Application Deadline: December 1, 2024

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Work with Nintendo's IT Security team to assist with documentation and cleanup efforts related to IT Security tool stack
  • Determine areas of opportunity for automation of repeatable tasks using Security Orchestration and Automation Response (SOAR) playbooks
  • Explore opportunities for improvement with key IT Security stakeholders
  • Work with vulnerability management tools to analyze and determine urgency for remediation

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a graduation conferral date between May 2025 and June 2026
  • Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Knowledge of basic Information Security concepts
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals across the organization
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate data
  • Natural curiosity and problem-solving
  • Ability to document technical concepts
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship between June - September

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. Housing and travel support will be provided for non-local hires.

This internship includes a base pay range of $30 per hour, paid sick and safe time, and perks such as a local transit pass and access to the onsite fitness center. Given the limited duration of the role, interns are not eligible for full-time employee benefits such as healthcare or 401(k).
