JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: At Penn State Hazleton we are committed to and accountable for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all of its forms. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Lab Assistant (10 hours per week spring 2025 semester) for our Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Program who shares these values. The responsibilities of the Lab Assistant include facilitating the development of knowledge, application of concepts, and the use of critical thinking and reflective practice with the PTA students through laboratory activities; ensuring safety and providing feedback during skill practice; assisting with practical testing; lab set-up and clean-up; and other duties as assigned by the PTA Program Coordinator. Required qualifications: Graduate of an accredited PTA or Physical Therapy Program, certified/licensed or eligible for certification/licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Preferred qualifications: three years clinical experience; prior teaching experience not required, but favorable in a physical therapy education program.
