The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track teaching faculty Lecturer position to begin Fall 2025 semester. Responsibilities include teaching large lecture enrollment (>150 students) courses in undergraduate chemistry with a possibility of upper division departmental courses depending on expertise. The job duties are approx. 95% teaching and 5% service. This position is on an annual contract that is renewable based on need, funding, and performance with the possibility of a future multi-year contract. Minimum Qualifications |
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field at the time appointment begins. In addition, instructional experience and a record of high-quality teaching at the university level is required. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment. |
Desired Qualifications |
Candidates with evidence/research-based learning pedagogies, proficiency with online assessment and instruction, and creating a welcoming, respectful, and engaging classroom are desired. |
