Job Description

To promote continuous improvement and assist in ensuring compliance to quality processes.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Demonstrates safety leadership by complying with all safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures; participating in safety programs, and encouraging employee involvement from all employees in all safety activities
  • Lead the standardization of division-wide test instrumentation usage throughout division, supports site instrumentation purchases; acts as a divisional resource to assist sites with instrumentation questions; works with R&D and site quality teams
  • Lead and support the standardization of inspection methods throughout division; works with R&D and site quality teams
  • Facilitate measurement system analysis (MSA), including gauge correlation (GR&R), to ensure consistent test results within and between division sites and customer plants.
  • Facilitate statistical analysis projects and tools in support of quality assurance efforts and improvements in the areas of; defect trends, complaint summaries, CpK product and machine analysis, as appropriate.
  • Analyze data and present to the site management teams to identify quality improvement projects and focus areas
  • Utilize Six Sigma tools and conduct Kaizen events to create improvement and permanent positive change. Participates in and lead black belt projects and initiatives to standardize and continuously improve processes.
  • Support quality's drive toward data-based decision making.
  • Support the implementation of best practices and standardization of the quality management system throughout division; works with the site quality teams.
  • Act as a divisional resource to assist sites with new hires training.
  • Act as internal audit team member, as needed
  • Engage personnel in problem solving and risk assessments
  • Ensure best practices are identified and shared among Amcor sites

    WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • Education - BS degree in Engineering or science
  • Experience - 2-3 years of successful experience.
  • Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer, preferred.
