Quality Engineer / Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Engineer/Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing people, processes and systems that ensure the highest safety, quality, productivity and efficiency. Ensures that all products and services meet or exceed government, industry and company specifications. Ensures that the company's strategy for quality products and customer satisfaction be responsive, effective, and reach all areas of the organization with emphasis on the constant concern for product quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • This role is responsible for managing and directing, the Inspectors on three working shifts. This position will schedule the required workload and will also schedule any required overtime, so that NHBB can maintain proper production schedules
  • Must be proficient is all aspects of drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Perform audits, periodic testing, product evaluation and report writing
  • Work with Quality/Manufacturing Engineers to develop and implement corrective actions, (8D format), to eliminate the nonconformance
  • Monitor key process parameters to isolate problem areas and correct any potential for escapes.
  • Lead and support Quality Clinic based on activities on MRB.
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process quality
  • Daily interaction with operators/inspectors and supervision to identify and improve product and process quality
  • Perform internal and/or supplier quality audits
  • Oversight and training of quality related process, systems and the inspectors


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Minimum 4-year Degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office Products (PowerPoint/Word/Excel)
