Job Title: Extrusion Operator

Classification:Hourly

Reports To: Production Manager

Job Summary: Ensures safe, timely and accurate methods of maintaining a plastic extrusion line, SAP transactions, Quality checks and entry, while learning Process Technician, as well as related tasks in accordance with Pregis best practices. The right individual will have 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. This position will create a work environment contributing to the safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement activity of the team.


Shift: Consist of an Ultimate Work life balance (2 on 2 off) (3 on 2 off) (2 on 3 off) as a fixed non-rotating schedule. (1 week is 48 hours following week is 36 hours) You can choose from Days or Nights. Work shift pattern consisting of every other weekend as an average of 14 days a month. The 48-hour work week is an overtime week.

Shift Time: Days 8 AM - 8 PM or Nights 8 PM - 8 AM

Responsibilities & Duties:

Safety

• Adheres to all Pregis Safety Policies, Procedures and Responsibilities*
• Be apart of the Safety voice and Committee.
• Operational Excellence during working hours keeping areas clean and organized leading by example.

Quality

• Assure completeness and accuracy of all production reporting for your customer.
• Inspect and perform measurements as defined by the Operating Procedures on all items and products produced.
• Provides support as needed to the operation during start up, changeover, and shut down for timely checks and accuracy.
• Data entry into a computer Line side while attending to the line needs.

Productivity

• Effectively maintain the production line during operation.
• Willingness to train and develop into an Extrusion master tech.
• Effectively Performs routine housekeeping duties while operating the line to ensure the areas stay maintained, orderly and or other duties as needed to help support your team daily.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of manufacturing related experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Shows competency to multi-task while completing tasks in a timely basis.
• ERP or SAP systems is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude with ability to adapt to change.
