Job Description Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) is now accepting applications for Virginia All In High-Dosage Tutors to work on a temporary basis in schools throughout the division. Individual work assignments will be at one specific school. Work schedules will vary depending on the needs of each school. Tutors will implement specific intervention programs related to Virginia Department Of Education (VDOE) "All In" Tutoring, conduct weekly progress monitoring, and work with a team of school staff to make data-informed decisions for each child. The candidate should be patient, flexible, and skilled in oral and written communication, manage student behavior, modify instructional activities as required, and assess and evaluate student achievement. Tutors can expect to work 1 (minimum) - 4 (maximum) hours per week, depending upon their availability, interest, and grant funding. Additional hours may be considered based upon school needs and grant funding availability. This is a grant-funded temporary casual position. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide high-intensity academic tutoring to students in grades 3-8 who are "at risk" or "not proficient" based on statewide assessment results.
