Alfred Williams & Company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented controller to join our team in Raleigh, NC. As a key member of our financial leadership team, the controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer. The controller will ensure compliance with GAAP standards and provide critical financial insights to support the company's strategic decision-making. Job Responsibilities



  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following GAAP standards.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Identify and communicate economic trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure overall organization policies and procedures compliance.
  • Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the accounting process and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve financial operations' overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in evaluating the financial impact of business initiatives and investments and contribute to long-term financial planning and growth strategies.



Qualifications

Job Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Proven experience (3-6 years) in public accounting
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP principles and regulations
  • Significant experience with the audit of financial statements
  • Working knowledge of accounting software
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
