Job Summary
The Innovation & Research Commons in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library provides virtual reality (VR) headsets for classroom and individual use to AU faculty, staff, and students. The graduate assistant position will assist in managing the Virtual Reality area of the Innovation & Research Commons.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the virtual reality area
  • Maintaining headsets
  • Assisting users with virtual reality experiences
  • Outreach and promotion for the virtual reality area


This position will apply functional knowledge, skills, and abilities from the educational program of the candidate selected.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should be students who are currently enrolled in a graduate program of study at Auburn, with a strong academic background.

Required skills:

  • Experience with virtual reality applications and equipment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
Pay Rate $2,000/month
Work Hours 10a-4p Monday through Friday, possible evening hours, 20 hours per week, 9-month or 12-month appointment, tuition waiver for students whose program aligns with the job responsibilities
