Requisition ID req31185 Working Title Coord,Education Support Position Grade 09 Position Summary The UNM School of Medicine Office of Preceptorship, a division of Undergraduate Medical Education, is seeking a detail-conscious, highly organized, and enthusiastic individual to join their administrative support team. This position is responsible for coordinating details for clinical rotations (both in-person and online) with medical students, assisting in maintaining and overseeing the various online and system-wide database management systems, and provides vital support for the day-to-day operations of Preceptorship, as well as cross-train to help support the Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) Team. This individual must enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people, including medical students, staff, internal and community faculty, care about accuracy and quality, have great organizational skills, think creative problem-solving is fun, enjoy a challenge, and work as a member of a well-functioning team. Additional duties include but are not limited to the following: * Ability to handle complex database management systems, shared drives, and other online service platforms to process daily and project tasks * Providing online and email support including clinical rotation planning, accurate processing of block chair and supervisor requests, clinical rotation database management; site compliance and medical preceptor verification for clinical rotations; troubleshooting during clinical rotations * Coordinating details for student placements in clinical learning environments * Completing data entry and maintaining course records using online tools like Smartsheets as well as Microsoft Office applications. * Communicating effectively with internal faculty, staff, students and exterior stakeholders through email, phone, and face-to-face interactions * Providing meeting support to include scheduling meeting with appropriate stakeholders, agenda creation, meeting minutes and distribution; and other support tasks as assigned See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
