Status: Full Time (40 hours) Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia! Work hours: Rotating shift 8 hour shifts/40 hours week and will work any of the following shifts per week below including every other full weekend (Saturday AND Sunday):
Will work every other weekend (Sat and Sun) and will be off one day during the week before or after. Will know schedule approx 2 weeks in advance. Job responsibilities: Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.
