Job Description

As an Agile Transformation Intern, you will work with a team of industry professionals in Agile Transformation. This team partners with Scrum Masters and Kanban Facilitators to enable successful business delivery and continuous improvement for teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Design, improves and collects metrics in partnership with the teams. Identify waste and bottlenecks and work to remediate through team-led continuous improvement efforts. Enable portfolio-wide planning for Sensing, Safety, & Industrial Components (SIC). Provide tooling assistance and instruction. You will have overall Agile Transformation responsibilities and it is expected you have knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.

As a part of the team, you will have the opportunity to be hands-on with actual teams and the work they are doing, while receiving exposure to the business structure of Rockwell Automation and how we are helping our customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life. Additionally, as a student associate there will be hosted activities intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills, and immerse yourself in our company culture. You will support the creation, development, and sunset of teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitors budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints. You will support overall project management responsibility and will gain fluency executing projects using both Waterfall and agile Methodologies.

Your Responsibilities:
  • The Sensing, Safety, & Industrial Components (SIC) Agile Transformation Office (ATO) is responsible building, sustaining and training teams and stakeholders that develop new and existing products.

  • You will support PI Planning Events (quarterly) and execution activities leading up to it, including invites, staying on budget, coordinating teams and portfolios, communication and engagement.

  • You will be the Kanban Facilitator for the Agile Transformation Team through event pre-planning and facilitation, and board management, on a weekly basis.

  • Support the creation and support of Agile guidelines and boundaries.

  • Forecast and track projects and work against a roadmap.

  • Assist team members with communication, planning and facilitation.

  • Partner with the PMO to ensure Agile and non-Agile teams are able forecast and plan without a common framework, practice or methodology.

  • Support Manager, Agile Transformation on other team-related activities.

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75on a 4.0 scale

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent from an accredited college or university

  • Experience with Jira, Jira Align and JAMA.

  • Preference given to students met on campus, at a national recruiting event, through a Rockwell Automation-hosted event or a targeted recruiting campaign.

  • Previous Agile experience in an industrial automation or manufacturing environment
