INVISTA is seeking a Global Energy Engineer to join our corporate engineering team. INVISTA's corporate engineering capability provides a global engineering consultancy service to our manufacturing sites, supporting operations and capital projects.

The primary roles of the global energy engineer are to develop energy management capability at plant sites and provide technical support for plant utility operations.

What You Will Do

* Proactively embrace INVISTA's EHS Philosophy. Conduct personal activities in compliance with all health and safety regulations and rules to remain injury free
* Develop PBM Culture, technical capability, and common energy management work processes at sites. Conduct reviews versus best practices and provide other training opportunities to site energy management leaders
* Lead sites to implement energy conservation opportunities identified in site energy plans. Facilitate technical reviews of energy management project savings estimates, project scopes, equipment specifications, P&IDs, and commissioning
* Participate in project scope development, PHAs, and P&ID reviews, to enable successful completion of Utilities area compliance projects
* Provide troubleshooting assistance to the plant utility organizations upon request; document the problem encountered, the recommended solution, and recommendations to prevent a recurrence
* Provide technical expertise to the site Utility managers. Lead plants in developing long term Utility area strategies and capital plans based on the business plan for the site, future regulatory constraints, and changes in the utilities markets
* Develop capability of energy leaders and utility system engineers throughout INVISTA through routine interaction and knowledge sharing activities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
* Five (5) or more years' energy management and/or utilities operations experience in an industrial environment
* Five (5) or more years' experience with steam, compressed air and chilled water
* Five (5) or more years' experience identifying, leading, developing and implementing improvement and change initiatives
* Microsoft experience: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel
* Data analysis experience to include related tools (i.e. Minitab, SEEQ and PI or related tools)

What Will Put You Ahead
* Ten (10) or more years' combined experience in industrial utilities operations and energy management
* Experience with root cause analysis techniques
* Previous experience coaching and mentoring supervisors, engineers, and others on a structured operation process such as energy management
* Previous training in energy management and/or CEM certification
* Experience with HVAC, Compressed Air and Cogeneration systems
* Experience with ASPEN Utilities Planner
