Job Description Summary
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor beginning fall semester, August 16, 2025.
Candidates will contribute to the education and training of undergraduate and graduate students, including teaching courses in the candidate's area of expertise and providing effective advisement and mentorship to a diverse population of students. Candidates are expected to maintain a strong research program with potential for extramural funding, while contributing to an inclusive learning and working environment.
Minimum Qualifications
We seek candidates that specialize in any area of Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Candidates should have an independent research program and possess strong quantitative expertise. A strong record that includes publications and potential for external funding is required. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Psychology or related fields at the time employment begins. ABD candidates will be considered but must have a Ph.D. by the start date or the offer will be withdrawn.

The Industrial-Organizational Psychology program offers both MS and PhD training and consists of seven faculty with diverse areas of expertise that span across numerous areas including artificial intelligence, personnel selection, social identity, stereotyping, occupational health and well-being, work-family dynamics, organizational development, and statistics and measurement.
