A Day in the Life

Duties and Responsibilities

Operator will be required to set-up, make adjustments and repairs, change out tooling and operate all machines and equipment used in the molding of lead and nylon threads on products.

Will be required to check the product for quality with the use of blue prints and measuring equipment, gages, etc.

Will be required to keep the work area clean and follow all safety rules.

Work under general supervision and may be required to perform work of equal or lower classification.

Perform any other duties as may be required.

Skills and Experience:

Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of ten hours.

Ability to walk, hear, see and have full use of both hands.

Ability to perform highly repetitive work.

Ability to lift and carry 50 lb. cartons a distance of 3 feet and place on a pallet. Carton is lifted from a height of 6" to 48" at a rate of approximately 40 per hour.

Ability to push loaded skids using a force of 20 lbs., a distance of 6 feet, periodically.

MENTAL EFFORT

Ability to understand type and nature of essential job functions.

Ability to understand necessary safety procedures and precautions.

Mental / emotional endurance for repetitive performance of essential job functions.
