Function: Intern/Co-op Job Summary:As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you'll gain practical experience supporting the plant's electrical and instrumentation systems. Collaborate with our team to enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Work with experienced engineers and technicians. You will also report to the I&C Engineer and work onsite. This is a safety sensitive position. You Will: Maintenance Assistance: Support daily maintenance tasks alongside I&E technicians. Troubleshoot and address electrical plant-related issues. Actively participate in electrical switching maneuvers and load balancing when necessary. Perform routine inspections and maintenance to MCC's and motor/ feeder protection relays. Reliability Programs: Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives. Help develop electrical and instrumentation designs for projects. Budget and Documentation: Learn to create budgets for electrical system improvements. Participate in preparing project authorization documents. Change Management: Gain exposure to managing the MOC process for documenting changes.
