Job Title: Painter

Location: Mt. Vernon, Missouri

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of metal prior to priming
  • Apply primer and appropriate paint coating to large industrial metal structures using various paint application equipment
  • Inspect finished metal structure for runs, chips and other deficiencies

Job Requirements:

A. Education & Training
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year industrial paint experience is preferred

Technical Requirements

  • Previous experience in surface preparation and application of coatings/paint
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate paint application equipment such as power washer, grinder, spray booth, spray guns, brush and roller
  • Basic understanding of the operation of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes
  • Electrostatic paint experience helpful
C. Physical Requirements

Performs climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing for long periods of time, pushing and/or pulling up to 100lbs of force occasionally with a cart, lifting, holding and griping objects, repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

This position is subject to working both inside and outside of the building, as well as being subject to noise, subject to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases and poor ventilation that could affect the respiratory system of the skin as well as subject to oils.

Salary

$17.50- $20.50/hour
