Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Psychiatry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

The Temporary Research Assistant supports grant funded research and demonstration projects.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Project activities may include recruiting study participants, scheduling study visits, obtaining informed consents for study participation and maintaining necessary study documentation. Project activities may also include tracking progress, organizing evaluation protocols, managing paperwork, preparing materials for meetings.
  • Research activities may also include but are not limited to development and distribution of surveys and facilitating focus groups and/or interviews and may involve basic analysis of quantitative and qualitative data with guidance of PI and related faculty. Assistance with preparing publications and presentations may also be requested.
  • Regular communication with Principal Investigator and related faculty and staff on assigned projects is expected.
  • Coordinative assistance to PI and related faculty/staff by coordinating projects, programs, functions, and organizing project operations is expected.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus some amount of related research experience.
  • Experience and proficiency using PC software programs including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe Professional and Internet.
  • Educational experience can be used in lieu of employment experience.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Professional document creation and markup.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using statistical software such as Stata, SPSS and SAS.
