The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) at the Yuste Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences, the Research Staff Assistant provides support for all the Lab's research activities such as animal colony, supply, equipment, and compliance. The incumbent will support the lab's research in Neurobiology. The Yuste Lab's goal is to understand the function of the cortical microcircuit. The cortex constitutes the larger part of the brain in mammals. In humans is the primary site of mental functions like perception, memory, control of voluntary movements, imagination, language, and music. This is a 6-month, full-time grant-funded position with the possibility of renewal contingent funding approval. Responsibilities
