Together, we can create a brighter future for those who need it most! This position will be located at our College for Officer Training (CFOT) near Wrigley Field on the North Side of Chicago. CFOT operates as a unique educational program for The Salvation Army that trains our ordained pastors or "officers" for service in our communities. With a position on our campus, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and mission-driven environment that helps affect positive change for those we serve. Job Objective: Provide for the maintenance and upkeep of the College for Officer's Training buildings, equipment, grounds, and vehicles. Duties:
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. The position requires 1-3 years of experience in facility maintenance OR: Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Skills:
Supervisory Responsibility: None. Physical Requirements: Physical requirements include; good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity. Regularly Lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to 80 pounds Requires bending, squatting, and walking May stand for extended periods Work on ladders Travel: Travel locally with a CFOT vehicle in the performance of job duties.
