Staff Research Associate Human Genetics Full Time 81309BR Job Summary UCSF Institute for Human Genetics is seeking a Staff Research Associate II (SRA II) to conduct research in the areas of CRISPR synthetic biology, functional genomics, gene regulation, and tissue biology. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $28.04 - $45.09 (Hourly Rate). Our mission is to create an exciting, productive, and collaborative environment for research, training, and clinical application in human genetics. The other research institute, the Ely and Edythe Broad Center for Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research (IRM), is a highly collaborative research institute structured along seven research pipelines aimed at driving discoveries from bench to patient. Each pipeline focuses on a different organ system, including the blood, pancreas, liver, heart, reproductive organs, nervous system, musculoskeletal tissues and skin. The IHG and the IRM are two similarly sized basic research institutes comprised of faculty that span all four schools (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy) and many departments within those schools, reflecting the broad importance of these disciplines both in basic scientific research and in modern day health care.
