Function:

Job Summary:The Product Stewardship Specialist will support the EHSQ Mission by coordinating corporate activities related to product regulatory compliance and product stewardship objectives. Specifically, projects will focus on maintaining appropriate product certifications, registrations, and specification sheets. This role is responsible for ensuring assignments meet the scope, schedule, cost, and analysis objectives of the business. This role will interface with customers, as well as the Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, Logistics, Legal, and Supply Chain functions of the organization. Job Description:

Major Responsibilities:

Product Regulatory Compliance

  • Manages product classification and legislative requirements to assure that the company's products comply with the various product registration and environmental health and safety (EHS) documentation regulations (e.g., REACH, CLP, TSCA, GHS, HazCom, DOT, ADR, SARA, CBAM, Chemical Diversion, and State Right-to-Know, etc.).
  • Maintains company-wide policies, procedures and systems to assist sales, manufacturing, and distribution in complying with product registration and regulation requirements for information collection, reporting and dissemination across all regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Gathers information on developing areas of product regulations and advises senior leadership of potential effects, costs and changes needed. Keeps fully informed on all technical and legal regulations and how they relate to the company.

Product Specifications

  • Coordinates the review and update of product Safety Data Sheets, Specifications, Labels and other public facing product regulatory-related documentation.
  • Coordinates and manages updates to the IFA Protect & Sustain Product Stewardship certification across all CF locations.

Product Stewardship

  • Collaborates with the appropriate departments and management to ensure product stewardship fundamentals and best practices are integrated, understood and implemented in appropriate areas.
  • Gathers information on developing areas of product stewardship expectations and advises senior leadership of potential effects, costs and changes needed.
  • Represent CF on Trade Associations and Working Groups focused on standards development related to product stewardship and product regulatory compliance.
  • Develops training programs as needed for product stewardship, which highlight the desired expectations, standards, roles, and responsibilities.

Incumbent Attributes:

  • Education: BS/BA or its equivalent in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physical Science or a related field.
  • Years of experience: 0-2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Other unique job relevant attributes:
    • Familiarity with product regulations like REACH, CLP, TSCA, GHS, HazCom, DOT, ADR, SARA, CBAM, Chemical Diversion, and State Right-to-Know.
    • Time management and organizational skills; including the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and assignments with competing demands
    • Ability to perform analytical-related activities of large amounts of data and identify trends
    • Strong skills in MS Excel, Access, and Word to combine and analyze large amounts of data from various sources, and generate reports and graphics
    • Skill in effectively communicating complex information verbally and in writing
    • Skill in analyzing and summarizing data gleaned from a variety of sources and preparing benchmark reports
    • Skill in researching and supporting the implementation of state-of-the-art sustainable practices
