Position Overview: This is for a pediatric cardiology role that would cover both inpt and outpt. Requirements Assist in coping with the challenges of caring for a child, managing their illness, hospitalization or outpatient treatment plan Support families (children, parents, grandparents, siblings) encountering a crisis, experiencing grief and bereavement or adjusting to a diagnosis Help the family and child gain a better understanding of the illness and what to expect while receiving treatment Discuss illness and/or hospitalization with the child and their family Advocate for the needs of the child and family with the medical team (doctors, nurses, therapists) to promote family-centered care Develop pre- and posthospitalization careplans Promote a safe family environment Refer to community agencies for material assistance, including temporary lodging or resources needed to support a safe discharge plan Qualifications MS Social Work from an accredited school of social work. Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW or LCSW-C level. Must have Epic Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience Experience with Hospital and Pediatrics experience required.
