Position Summary The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology is seeking a Research Assistant with demonstrated experience in flow cytometry to work in the Immunogenetics Lab. The work will involve hands-on processing biological samples for clinical flow cytometry tests for lymphoid, non-lymphoid and malignant leukocyte immunophenotyping. The candidate will be involved in R&D work of developing new assays for primary immunodeficiency diagnosis. Training in laboratory protocols and result reporting will be provided. An important part of the job will relate to the development of multi-color (10+) Flow Cytometry assays. In addition, the responsibilities will include a minor component of quality control/assurance (validation of new reagents, tests and instrumentation, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, regulatory compliance), and training of residents and new personnel.
