Location: South Tower Shift Available: Part-Time (24 hours/week) 7A-7P and 7P-7A Neurosciences is a 29-bed unit located on the 3rd floor of the South Tower at OU Health. Of the 29 beds, 9 beds are stepdown/progressive care and 20 are floor beds. We provide the highest level of Neurological care as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, as designated by The Joint Commission. General Description: The License Practice Nurse (LPN) performs assigned direct and indirect nursing care activities in a hospital using critical thinking in clinical problem-solving and decision-making processes relative to scope of practice, knowledge, competency, and experience. The LPN practices under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN), advance practice registered nurse (APRN), or physician in accordance with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: * LPN Degree from an Accredited Institution. * Current Oklahoma Board of Nursing LPN License or a current multi-state compact LPN License (eNLC). * Specific care environment certifications must be obtained within six months of hire. Experience: * New Grads are welcomed. * One or more years of experience preferred. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC).
