UVA Temporary Services is recruiting for highly organized, detail oriented, and professional persons to fill potential Temporary Certified Medical Assistant positions. JOB DESCRIPTION
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: A technical diploma or certificate in Medical Assisting required. Associates Degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited Program of Study such as the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) preferred. Experience: No experience required. Licensure: One of the following three credentials - Certified Medical Assistant by the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), Registered Medical Assistant by the AMT (American Medical Technologists), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant by the NHA (National Health Career Association). Credential must be obtained within 6 months from the date of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/walking. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
