The University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Human Services to teach and provide content expertise for programs in Youth & Social Innovation. Opportunities are available on-grounds at the University of Virginia and online. A terminal degree is preferred, but not required, in an appropriate field of study for the course to be taught. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Previous K-12 or higher education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred. Positions will be filled on an on-going basis according to curriculum needs and appointments are typically for teaching a single course. This is an at-will faculty wage position which does not carry benefits. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. (FSAKA) This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year.
