Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies.

You will be the West Coast Lead for the Sony Music U.S. Release Planning team. You will join a team with responsibility for managing day-to-day release planning needs and deadlines across Sony's frontline labels, including RCA Records, Columbia Records and Epic Records, audio and video, digital and physical formats. Sony's U.S. Release Planning team collaborates and strategizes with a wide range of frontline label departments to ensure the timely and accurate onboarding and delivery of releases worldwide. While there are common threads running through all Sony Music releases, the granular details and requirements of each project are often unique; change is a constant, and you will play a critical role in helping shepherd a diverse and exciting range of recording projects across multiple genres through from artist-signing through to commercial release.

What you'll do:

  • You will collaborate across a wide range of label departments. These will include A&R Administration, Marketing, Commercial/Sales, A&R, Business Affairs, International and Finance to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of physical and digital releases. • You will help oversee delivery of RCA Records, Columbia Records and Epic Records digital releases, partnering with Sony Digital Operations and Media Production to ensure all are delivered accurately and on time. You will work closely with A&R Administration, Business Affairs and IPL (Copyright) to ensure all assets are cleared for release, properly vetted for sample review, side artist clearances as well as proper tagging and mapping on digital platforms.
  • You will help strategize and plan multi-format physical releases. You will help enforce strict production deadlines for physical releases in collaboration with U.S. D2C/Commercial & International Supply Chain teams along with International Marketing to ensure all scheduling, production and budgetary elements for the end-to-end supply chain process are accurate and on time to meet necessary production deadlines and release dates.
  • You will participate in a range of regularly scheduled collaborative cross-team, workability, product planning and strategy meetings, taking the initiative to further schedule and lead any breakout meetings throughout the workweek with internal teams as necessary.
  • You will join and contribute to ongoing system development, enhancement and implementation meetings and steering committees.

Who you are:

  • 5-7 years of music industry experience required. Major-label Release Planning/Project Management/Production experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized, discreet and meticulously detail oriented, with a natural ability to multitask and prioritize.
