The Medical Director, US Thoracic is an individual contributor on the US Medical Affairs team. This role provides leadership in support of the medical and scientific initiatives for TTFields Therapy more generally in the US. This individual will play a critical role in defining and executing on the medical affairs strategy in alignment with the overall business and commercial strategy for TTFields in the US. The Medical Director, US Thoracic will report to the Head of US Medical Affairs while also working closely with the Global Medical Affairs Team.

This is a full-time, exempt, US field-based role reporting to the Head of US Medical Affairs with dotted line support to the Global Medical Affairs Team. Ideal candidates will be located near either our Portsmouth, NH or Chesterbrook, PA offices for a Hybrid office schedule but remote candidates will be considered as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Leads the medical affairs strategy for the US Thoracic team in and ensures alignment across all medical affairs tactics and deliverables
  • Provide strategic medical input as an essential member on the global leadership teams for Thoracic in support of the US market
  • Serve as a medical and scientific expert on TTFields Therapy for internal and external activities such as advisory board meetings, steering committees, faculty training, product training, internal training with internal field teams with a focus on Thoracic disease areas
  • Assess local and external materials to ensure that all claims are fully supported by scientific data, and are presented in an accurate, fair and balanced manner
  • Serve as a medical and scientific expert on TTFields Therapy for physician and healthcare provider engagement with a focus on Thoracic disease areas
  • Assume a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining key opinion leader relationships
  • Assess scientific/medical data gaps and develops evidence generation plan(s) to address these gaps, including post marketing studies and database analyses
  • As Medical Lead, this individual will help in the design and facilitate with Clincial Affairs for company sponsored pre- and post- marketing clinical trial(s) in the field of Thoracic diseases
  • Responsible for guidance and approvals of promotional materials in the field of Thoracic diseases in close collaboration with the Scientific Exchange team
  • Provide strategic and subject matter expertise input to the Scientific Exchange team
  • Work closely and supports the cross-functional team in developing an integrated medical strategy
  • Ensure strict compliance with medical and ethical standards



QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:



  • MD or equivalent required, with at least 5 years of clinical experience in the field of Oncology is a must; Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Surgery or Radiation Oncology is required
  • Medical science background with a strong understanding of clinical research and clinical trial design and management is required
  • Pharmaceutical and/or medical device launch experience strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the biopharmaceutical or medical device industry is preferred
  • Articulate, demonstrates leadership through influence

OTHER:



  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Travel requirement on average 50% and as business needs arise
  • This position will be located in the US
