Direct daily activities associated with a high volume manufacturing facility. Provide leadership to hourly and salaried employees and foster an atmosphere of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

As the Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations in a high-volume manufacturing facility, providing leadership to both hourly and salaried employees. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure that production runs efficiently, meet quality standards, and foster a culture focused on safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

You Will:
  • Establish production and quality control standards with management. Plan and prioritize production activities, balancing efficiency and cost considerations.

  • Coordinate production with maintenance and quality control to ensure optimal labor, machine, and equipment use.

  • Lead efforts to promote a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with engineering to develop methods and procedures aimed at reducing waste and improving product quality.

  • Adjust staffing levels and overtime as needed to meet production demands. Maintain time and production records.

  • Resolve workplace issues and support workers in achieving performance goals. Develop strategies to motivate the workforce.

  • Manage employee-related tasks including hiring, training, work assignments, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions in line with company policies.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and addressing associate concerns.

  • Uphold company procedures and collaborate with human resources to resolve potential problems.

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, tiered accountability, standard work, and Kanban systems to improve flow and productivity.

You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.

  • Experience supervising 10+ direct labor employees.

  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing; Six Sigma or Green Belt certification.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operating systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,00 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
